Maternity Photography Sessions

Expecting a new member of the family is exciting for everyone involved, especially the parents. Exciting may not be your first choice of description depending on which stage of pregnancy you are at, maybe nervous, exhausted, scared, happy or hormonal are more likely words you would use. We all know that it is one of the most emotional and precious times we will go through and although it may seem like it lasts forever, especially in those last few weeks, it will be over in the blink of an eye and just be a memory. A maternity session can help keep the memories of the love and emotion experienced during pregnancy close to your heart.

Maternity sessions are best when you are around 32-35 weeks pregnant or when your bump is showing well. You can choose from an intimate session with you and your partner, a session alone with just you and your growing bump or a session with your other children if you have them.

You choose the style that suits you for capturing these precious moments and giving you images that will take you back each and every time.

What to wear to your maternity session:

I have a variety of maternity gowns and outfits in my client wardrobe along with accessories so I can style your session and provide everything you will need, all I ask is that you bring two sets of underwear, one nude/white and one black.

Alternatively if you would prefer to wear your own clothes or have a dress/outfit you would like to include in your images please feel free to bring them along.

"I wanted to catch my pregnancy to one day show how my unborn child at the time really was loved.. even before we knew she was a beautiful little girl.

Nikita was amazing throughout booking the sessions and the actual photo shoot.

We were made to feel at ease and the session really does just flow and feel natural with Nikita's wonderful sense of humour and all the thoughtful little touches she puts within the session, including complimentary snacks, refreshments and gorgeous maternity outfits to wear.

All you really need to do is bring yourself and whoever you choose along to the experience.

Myself and my partner couldn't wait to see the photos after our little sneak peak Nikita kindly showed us, the wait was totally worth it! After the shoot it somehow made me realise that we were actually going to be parents in a short time, it made me realise how even though you can feel frumpy, tired and just generally not yourself, pregnancy is the most beautiful thing in the world and each one should be celebrated."
