When should I book my session?Newborn sessions are best when your baby is under 2 weeks old but can be up to 4 weeks. It is best to book as soon as you can anytime after your 12 week scan. We pencil in your due date with a small deposit and I leave a few days either side free as we all know babies arrive on their own schedule. Once your baby has arrived, we will book in your session. Mini newborn sessions are for babies under 6 weeks old. There is more flexibility to book this session when baby is already here. For all other sessions, it is best to book a couple of months in advance, with weekend sessions booking up first.

How long will my session take?Newborn session last anywhere between 2-4 hours. This is to allow plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling. This may seem like a long time, however patience is key and sessions are baby led, so if they need extra time in between poses, thats what they get. For all other sessions, they very much depend on how your child/children are on the day. I don't like to rush things and want you all to feel relaxed and at home in the studio. All portrait sessions generally last no longer than 1-1.5 hours.

What do I need to bring with me to my session?A selection of snacks and drinks will be available during your newborn session, please feel free to bring along some lunch or your own snacks. If your baby uses a dummy, please bring this along with you too. Babies tend to feed a little more during sessions, so if you are bottle feeding please bring extra.

What should we wear to our session?Maternity sessions: I can provide all outifts/dresses and full styling for Mum to be. You are free to wear your own clothes and we can include some nude poses if you wish. I also have a variety of dresses for any big sisters too Newborn sessions: Comfort is key, I recommend plain and neutral clothing to keep the focus on baby. Most parent posing is shot from elbows up. Baby will be either wrapped or naked for their photos. Sitter/Cake Smash & 1st Birthday sessions: All outfits will be provided unless you would like to bring your own. For all other sessions, I recommend keeping clothing comfortable, in plain colours and avoiding busy patterns/logos. I do have a client wardrobe with various dresses and outfits.
