Here is a little Behind the Scenes look for you from one of my recent sessions :)
The lovely Taegan brought along her beautiful daughters Isla and Emilia to see me at the studio a couple of weeks ago :)
They were both amazing and we got some gorgeous images :) Isla was still getting used to her new little sister so needed a little encouragement to pose with her, we got a few of them both together with the help of lots of sweeties!
Like most two year olds, Isla wasn't going to have patience for long so I had to work quickly :) The best way for me to do this was to photograph Isla with some empty props and then photograph Emilia in the props and put the images together in photoshop. This way I could work fast before Isla lost interest, then carry on with the rest of the newborn session whilst she played with the toys in the studio.
I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve from my experience working with children, and this time I had some little helpers...

'No Job's Too Big, No Pups Too Small!'
If you have children under the age of around 10 you should know who these little guys are! They were a great help throughout the session! haha!
So first I took an image of Isla with this bowl, if you look closely you can see Marshall peeking out of the fluff! Then I photographed Emilia in the same bowl from the same angle. SOOC means straight out of camera, so there has been no editing done to the image.

Then with a little photoshop magic, some patience skill and creativity, here is the final image...

And here is another one...

And the final image...

And here is my favourite one...

So there you go, a little look into what goes on after the session. Its not just about being able to take a good photo, work well with children and babies, its also knowing how to use editing software to make the images perfect :)
